Marvels of Xeronine and
Damnacantal.
Dr. Ralph Heinicke dedicated his career to studying Xeronine, an alkaloid he discovered while doing research for the Dole Pineapple Company on enzymes present in pineapple. Because the alkaloid he found could be reduced to dry crystals, he called it Xeronine, which means dry alkaline compound.

Xeronine occurs practically in any healthy cell, be it from animal, plant, or even a microorganism. It acts in minuscule quantities (a picogram range --one trillionth of a gram--). Researchers point out that the body level of Xeronine declines with age, stress or poor diet. The level of health declines right along with it.

Heinicke states that even though Noni has negligible amounts of Xeronine, it does contain appreciable amounts of Proxeronine, a precursor of the active alkaloid. Fortunately, when taken on an empty stomach, Noni Juice escapes the digestive action of pepsin and acids that will destroy the enzyme that liberates Xeronine. The juice would pass then into the intestines, where it will be converted into the active ingredient, Xeronine.

NONI FIGHTS CANCER


Independent studies by Japanese and American Scientists confirm that Noni is highly effective at inhibiting and normalizing RAS transformed cancer cells. The compound Damnacantal present in Morinda citrifolia was found to inhibit the function, growth and reproduction of RAS Cells, which are considered pre-cancerous cells. In laboratory test performed by Scientists, Imoto, Koyano y Umewasa, published in Cancer Letter 73, 1993, the extracts from Noni was found to be the most effective in inhibiting RAS function among 500 tested substances, all of which are considered to have strong anti- cancer activity.

Another study, from Hirasumi, Furukawa y Hokama, published in the Proceedings of Western Pharmacological Society, #37, 1994, documents Noni's cancer fighting properties. In this study, mice were injected with "Lewis Lung Carcinoma Cells", with mice treated with Noni extract outliving untreated Mice by 123%. This experiment was repeated over and over with the same results. The Research Team concluded that Noni seems to inhibit cancer growth by enhancing Immune System function involving macrophages and lymphocytes. In simple words, Noni fights cancer in an indirect way, by increasing the effectiveness of white blood cells.

Dr. Solomon's View

Neil Solomon is the author of "Noni, The Tropical Fruit With 101 Medical Uses". His credentials are vast: M.D., P.H.D., New York Times Best Selling Author, LA Times Syndicated Health Columnist, CNN-TV Heath Commentator. He believes that Noni's widespread success is explained by the fact that it acts as an adaptogen. In essence, Morinda citrifolia contains natural food supplements that help "sick" cells return to normal. By regulating cell functions, active substances present in Noni, such as Xeronine and Damnacantal, bring the body back to normal balance.
Solomon explained how Noni produces this effect. He gives the example of how Noni regulates the function of the Thyroid gland. Noni juice helps to correct hyperthyroidism, a condition that occurs when the Thyroid puts out too much of its hormone (People with this condition suffer nervousness, excessive sweating, weight loss and have low energy). It also aids people who produce too little Thyroid (People with this condition, gain weight, are sluggish, tire easily and suffer constipation). Dr. Solomon affirms that clinical experience shows that Noni brings the Thyroid gland to homeostasis in both cases, correcting either hyperthyroidism and euthyroidism and balancing Thyroid funcion.
